Political signs gone - Life is once again normal in The BToS

My Kyle Lorton and Dennis Schrader signs no longer adorn my front yard here in the Big Town of Savage in the O'Malley/Democrat run Diverse State of Maryland on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.

Both signs supported Rep candidates here in Dem controlled, liberal-minded central Maryland. Basically, I'm a realist when it comes to Maryland politics. It's all Dems all the time and that will not change in my lifetime.

All I can do is take some solace in the fact that the country has seen the light a bit and brought some division to the US Government with the Reps taking control of the House of Representatives. Hopefully, the Reps in the House will show some restraint on spending and slow the volcanic growth of Obama-nomics. Divided government is good government!

I'm also a realist and know the Reps love to spend just like the Dems, but hopefully they won't be quite so willing to jump on the Obama sales pitch as the Dem House was under Pelosi (is it true that she may resign to spend more time with her grandkids?).

It's a long ways away, but 2012 should be lots of fun, especially since Obama no longer seems to have God-like status among US Citizens. As President of the United States, he's shown himself to be more pompous than most and the most divisive President of all time.

Ponder it and work toward 2012, or possibly earlier,
JD

PS - Don't take politics too seriously if you can help it. It's just one of the things in your life that you have little/no control over. If you take it too seriously, it'll just drive you whacko and you may never recover; not to mention that you'll never be friends again with someone from the other party. :-)
