Memorial Day - A Time For Reflection

Photo Ctsy: Wikipedia
The gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery are graced by U.S. flags on Memorial Day.

I've not lost a loved-one in U. S. Military action and my personal military service to the United States was as a member of the Maryland National Guard. My only involvement with any conflict was as a Guardsman during the local Maryland riots of the mid-'60s.

I find Memorial Day to be one of the finest days of the year; a day that United States citizens can take time from their busy lives to honor all Americans that gave their lives in service to this great country. Display your flags proudly Memorial Day.

Note - I was viewing some memorial videos this morning on youtube and this one stood out as representing my feelings about Memorial Day.
