Maryland Legislative Session 2012 Begins Today

Maryland Governor is a Democrat.
Maryland Senate is run by Democrat majority.
Maryland House of Delegates is run by Democrat majority.

Hence; Maryland will cut little, if any, in the way of spending. Maryland will raise taxes and usage fees significantly to provide funds to cover current expenses plus added spending on Democrat supported upgrades, enhancements, etc. for the State of Maryland.

We all know this is fact with the only question being "Just how much can we wring from Maryland tax payers and still sound like we're improving life for residents of Martin O'Malley's Diverse State of Maryland."

He runs the state just like he does his band; smiling; all the while he's picking your pocket.
JD, checking what remains in my bank account here in the BToS in the central portion of the Diverse State of Maryland.

PS - After posting this I read news of the opening session. O'Malley is already looking to raise the Maryland sales tax by almost 17% this legislative session (increase from $.06 to $.07 tax per dollar spent). Maryland's sales tax just went up 20% in 2008. And they wonder why so many folks shop the internet to bypass Maryland sales tax. Wonder how long we'll be able to take advantage of that???

PPS - Now O'Malley wants to subject gasoline to the Maryland Sales Tax. Let's see, gas is around $3.33 a gallon this week (February 1, 2012), so a 6% sales tax would add approximately $.20 to the cost of each gallon of fuel. Of course to soften the blow, he wants to phase it in over 3 years...wonder what the price of gasoline will be 3 years from today!!!
